As a young singer/songwriter, Helena quickly established herself in Ireland as a unique talent, playing as a support act for James Taylor, Katie Melua and Bob Geldof at the Source Festival, Kilkenny and Glenstall Abbey Sanctuary Concert alongside renowned Irish singers Moya Brennan and Cara O’Sullivan. She was a third place winner in the 2fm Young Songwriter’s Contest, Vicar’s Street, Dublin and performed as a ‘Lady of the Castle’ for Knappogue Castle Medieval Banquets. She performed as a session vocalist for both Rónán and Colm Ó Snodaigh, founding members of Irish group, Kíla and is fortunate to have worked with them on three of her studio albums.

Helena Byrne ist ausgebildete Sängerin, Schauspielerin und Songwriter. Seit einigen Jahren hat sie ihre Liebe zur irischen Folklore und Leidenschaft zur darstellenden Kunst verknüpft, und tritt als Sängerin und Geschichtenerzählerin für alle Altersgruppen in ganz Irland auf. Ähnlich einem von Ort zu Ort ziehenden Seanchaí (traditioneller Geschichtenerzähler) aus vergangenen Tagen tritt Helena auch regelmässig auf der anderen Seite des Atlantiks auf. Zuletzt für den irischen Botschafter der USA in Washington D.C.

Sie ist bereits für zahlreiche Unternehmen und Reiseveranstalter aufgetreten, zum Beispiel Adams & Butler Luxury Travel, Irish Luxury Tours, Bunratty Castle & Folkpark, The National Leprechaun Museum, Dalkey Castle & Heritage Center, Dun Laoghaire/ Rathdown County Libraries, und beim Yarn Storytelling Festival im County Wicklow. Jörn Rodaebel, gebürtig aus Deutschland, zog 2006 nach Irland, wo ihn schon bald die Folklore, Kultur und Musik interessierte. Im Laufe der Jahre hat er viele Streifzüge durch die wunderschöne Landschaft und durch urige und traditionelle Pubs unternommen. Hier sammelte er Geschichten und Folklore, die er gerne mit Besuchern der zauberhaften grünen Insel teilen möchte.
