Join Helena for a fun and interactive children’s storytelling experience, as she tells magical stories of the Irish Fairies, the Leprechaun and spooky Irish ghost stories that your wee ones will thoroughly enjoy! Later that day, Helena will perform for adults as she delves into the superstitions, folklore and music of an Ireland of times past, alongside incredible stories of Irish emigration through the ages; Mayo and the Great Famine, the Addergoole 14 and the Titanic, John F. Kennedy’s visit to Ireland and so much more.

Combining her love of Irish folklore and passion for Irish music, Helena Byrne regularly performs as a seanchaí (storyteller) and singer in Dublin and further afield for both private and public groups. Helena’s storytelling interweaves tales of the Other World and the mysterious Fairy Folk with traditional Irish songs and wonderful insights into the Irish life of days gone by.

Helena is a resident storyteller with Irish Folk Tours and regularly hosts ‘An Evening of Food, Folklore & Fairies’. The evening unfolds over a candlelit dinner in an intimate setting above Dublin’s oldest pub.
